Practice the typing you do at work
Office typing is different from a word list. A real work email has a greeting, names, dates, times, amounts and a sign-off, and a support reply has to be fast and polite.
Pick a topic from the menu: Emails, Customer support or Meeting notes. Each passage is written like real workplace text, so your score reflects your speed on the job, which makes it good practice for admin, assistant and support job tests.

Emails, customer support replies and meeting notes. Choose one from the Topic menu.
Job test practice
Office and support roles often test typing on passages like these. Time mode at 60 or 120 seconds is a close match.
Names, dates and amounts
Real business text mixes capitals, numbers, times and currency, just like your inbox.
Business typing test questions
What typing speed do office jobs require?
Most office and admin roles ask for 35 to 45 WPM. Executive assistant, transcription and customer support roles often ask for 50 to 60 WPM or more, with 95% accuracy or higher.
Is this like a pre-employment typing test?
Yes. Most pre-employment tests use a 1 to 5 minute passage of business text and report net WPM and accuracy. Set Time mode to 60 or 120 seconds for the closest match.
Why practice on emails instead of random words?
Real emails include capitals, names, dates, times and punctuation that random word lists skip. Practicing them improves the speed you actually use every day.
Can I practice with my own emails?
Yes. Switch to Custom mode and paste any text, like a template you send often, to turn it into a typing test.
