A fast typing game that trains words per minute
Word Rush is a free, one-minute typing speed game. Instead of a long paragraph, you see one word at a time, so all your attention goes on reading each word at a glance and typing it cleanly. That is the same skill that raises your score in a full typing speed test: fast word recognition and accurate finger movement.
The word list grows with you. The first words are short and common, then longer and less familiar words appear as your count climbs, so beginners can build confidence while fast typists still get a real challenge. Each round lasts 60 seconds, which makes Word Rush an easy daily warm-up before a longer test or a typing practice session.
How Word Rush scoring works
Points per word
Each word scores 10 points per letter, multiplied by your current multiplier. A seven-letter word at x3 is worth 210 points.
Streak multiplier
Every 5 correct words in a row raise the multiplier by one, up to x5. A single wrong key resets your streak and the multiplier to x1.
Bonus time
Every 10 words in a row add 2 seconds to the clock, so a clean streak buys you more words and a higher score.
Tips for a higher Word Rush score
Accuracy beats speed
One typo resets your multiplier, so a steady, clean pace scores far more than rushing and fixing mistakes.
Read the next word early
The next word is shown under the current one. Read it while you finish typing so you never pause between words.
Fix slips quickly
Press Backspace to fix a wrong letter, or Ctrl+Backspace to clear the word and type it again cleanly.
Keep your eyes on the screen
Looking down at the keyboard costs time on every word. If you still look, train the home row with the home row typing test.

What is a good Word Rush score?
